Minguna Miguna had announced his arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on the 7th January 2020 at 9 pm.
He probably travelled from Canada to Berlin, Germany with his Canadian Passport
On the 7th January Muguna said he was refused to board on his correspondence to Kenya because the government of Kenya issued a RED ALERT to Lufthansa.
Later he was blocked in Charles de Gaule Airport , Paris and Switzerland for the same reasons.
“The only way Miguna can be allowed to board a plane to Kenya is only if he had the necessary documents, meaning a visa or a valid Kenyan passport.” Government spokesperson Colonel (Rtd) Cyrus Oguna said. Miguna does not have any of this.
His Kenyan passport was confiscated by the kenyan government because he acquired his Canadian nationality times when double nationality was not available in Kenya.
Many Kenyans in the diaspora are in the same situation as Miguna Miguna.
